At the Leon County Humane Society, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen our organization and ensure we’re operating in the best interests of the animals and community we serve. As part of that effort, our Board of Directors is proposing a few updates to our bylaws, which help guide how our organization is governed.
Before any changes can be made, our bylaws require us to share the proposed amendments with our supporters and provide an opportunity for public feedback. We’re sharing those proposed changes with you today, and after a required 30-day notice period, we’ll open a 14-day public comment period from (Nov 27-Dec 10).
Once that period closes, our Board will review all feedback before voting on the proposed amendments.
