Adoption Fees

Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of housing, feeding, and providing medical care for the hundreds of animals that need our help.

We do our best to keep our adoption fees reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for the animals in our program until we can place them in loving homes. The adoption fee for each animal may vary and will be ultimately dependent on many factors including age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand. We do not adopt first come first served, but review applicants to ensure it is a good fit for all and try to adopt based on best fit. If several applicants are great fits, at that point it may come down to who applied first.

You may notice that some of our animals have higher adoption fees than others – this is because they leave a financial legacy for the other animals in our care who may require extensive medical care or more time to find a loving home. Rarely do our adoption fees cover the amount paid for their vetting and supplies while in our care. Our adoption fees go toward helping us save future animals and ensure that those adopting are prepared for annual costs associated with pet ownership.
