Cleo – Courtesy Post

Cleo is a 3‑year‑old yellow Lab with a big heart and big energy who would do best in a home with a securely fenced backyard where she can run and play. She can and will get along with some other dogs, but she’s very particular, so we’re recommending either an only‑dog home or very dog‑savvy owners who are willing to do slow, proper introductions and close monitoring. Cleo has a protective side and is very tuned in to her person’s body language and vibes; she is not dangerous toward strangers, but she will act defensively if she feels her owner is uncomfortable with someone or a situation, so she needs an adopter who understands and can confidently manage that. She has a chronic UTI tendency that is well managed with Hill’s Science Diet prescription food, which can be a bit costly, so adopters should be prepared for that ongoing need. Overall she’s incredibly loving and loyal, absolutely obsessed with toys, and would make an awesome companion for someone who wants to throw a ball in the backyard until she’s worn out and then curl up with her on the couch.
