Pebbles’ Step Backwards

Meet Pebbles!  Pebbles is one of over 700 animals that entered the LCHS foster program this year.  During a meeting with a potential adopter last weekend, Pebbles took one devastatingly wrong step off the front porch.  The unplanned landing on her tiny front leg left the leg severely fractured.
Emergency care over the weekend, followed by specialized surgery already has Pebble’s medical care totaling $3,600.  We now cross our fingers and hope that Pebbles will be able to bear weight on her fragile leg- a sign that we’re on the right track.  While her surgeon is optimistic, he cautioned that a follow up surgery may be required; leading to additional medical expenses and time in her foster home.
LCHS stands by the animals in our care.  It’s because of the generosity of our donors that we’re able to concentrate on each foster animal’s quality of life over the cost of care when unforeseen emergencies arise.  If you are able, please consider making a donation toward Pebble’s care.  Thank you for your love and support.
